6 June - TNB tariff increase

Few days PakLah announced the price-hike of petrol, along with another price-hike for Electricity tariffs. As usual, we wud rcvd the 'not-so-convincing' justification and reasons for the hike. And as usual the-hike-will-NOT-affect-the-those-with-less-then... bla..bla..bla.. crap.

If I remember correctly, TNB is partly owned by the government. It also means, the government has full control of the company. The 'provatisation' of LLN, was to 'remove' the administration and governance of LLN away from the 'main' administrative functions of the government. But the government still maintain the executive control as this company is of national-interest. The previous goverment administration are aware of this, that is why they are reluctant to increase the electricity tariffs.

The increase in petrol and electricity tariffs will definitely results in a spiralling-domino effects. Bank Negara Governor has just announced last night that they expected inflation wud go up as much as 5%, and it will only go back to 3% by first quarter of 2009. But the reality is, price of goods will be more than what it was 4 months ago and it is expected to go up further.

It is 'killing' all people from every walk of life..... to PakLah, you were elected to SERVE for the benefits of the people... but from the way things are going, I doubt that the people are on the top of yr priority list.. or do you have one..?
